Sean Kingston has been stabilized after a serious jet ski accident left him in critical condition Sunday evening.


Kingston and a female passenger were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami shortly after they crashed into a small bridge that connects Miami's Palm Island and MacArthur Causeway, according to the Miami Herald.

The extent of his injuries is unknown, but the passenger is said to be alert and talking to investigators. Investigators are still looking into what may have caused the accident but alcohol doesn't seem to have played a part.

"Sean Kingston is now stabilized and has moved from the trauma unit to ICU," the singer's publicist, Joseph Carozza, said in a statement. "Sean's family thanks everyone for their prayers and support during this time."


According to the Herald, a passing boater who saw the accident took the two on board his vessel until Miami Beach Fire Rescue arrived. The jet ski Kingston was riding was reportedly so badly damaged it had to be towed away.
