Family of Slain Rap Group Member Needs Your Help

The family of slain performer M-bone is asking for the public's help in catching his killer. If you have any information that may help in identifying the person who shot him please contact the number below. The 22-year-old real name, Montae Talbert, was killed in a drive-by shooting on May 15th while sitting in a parked car outside a liquor store in Inglewood. Authorities say another car pulled alongside, shots were fired and the he was hit twice in the head. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

M-bone was a member of the rap group Cali Swag District. They gained notoriety last year when their hit "Teach Me How to Dougie" became a nationwide sensation and rose to #28 o the Billboard Hot 100 chart. M-bone was the fourth member of the rap group and surprisingly was not a rapper. Talbert was responsible for creating the group's comedic dances.

The Inglewood Police Department have set up a 24-hour anonymous hotline number, 888-41-CRIME (888-412-7463) and encourage anyone with information to call its homicide division at 310-412-5246.
